Incorporated areas in this county include City of DeFuniak Springs, City of Freeport, and Town of Paxton. unincorporated communities include Grayton Beach, Lakewood, Rosemary Beach, Sandestin, and Seaside. it also covers one census-designated place or CDP which is the community of Miramar Beach .
