Florida is the 27th sate to be admitted to the United States. It is located on the southeastern region of the U.S., bordering Alabama to the northwest and Georgia to the north. Florida’s main source of economy rests on tourism, manufacturing and agriculture. Its major industries are engaged in electrical equipment and electronics, printing and publishing, transportation equipment, food processing and machinery. Its major agricultural products include potatoes, melons, strawberries, sugar cane, peanuts, dairy products and cattle. Its attractions include Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale on the east coast. Its major tourist destinations n the west coast include Sarasota, Tampa, and St. Petersburg. Orlando Area, on the other hand, is home to Walt Disney World which is Florida’s most popular tourist destination.
