Port St. Lucie is a city located at St. Lucie County, Florida, United States. It is located approximately 120 miles from Miami to the south and 120 miles from Orlando to the northeast. Historical accounts disclose that Port St. Lucie was developed in 1958 courtesy of General Development Corporation, a subsidiary of the Mackle Co., who allocated $50 million to develop a new community on the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. A residential community was built then and was incorporated in 1961. Today, Port St. Lucie is one of Florida’s fastest growing and dynamic cities.
