Coral Springs is a city located in northeastern Broward County, Florida. This city was developed by then Coral Ridge Properties, a division of Westinghouse. The name Coral Springs was derived from its developer. Coral Springs does not have springs at all, as Florida’s springs are found in central and northern portions of the state. Coral Springs has an estimated population of 126,875 and is part of the South Florida metropolitan area.

Coral Springs is located thirty minutes northwest of Fort Lauderdale, twenty minutes northwest of Pompano Beach, and fifty minutes northwest of Miami. It is only thirty minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and thirty-five minutes from Port Everglades, the second busiest cruise port in the world. Florida Turnpike and the Sawgrass Expressway cuts through Coral Springs. Geographically, Coral Springs is bopunded by the cities of Parkland to the north, Coconut Creek to the east, Margate and North Lauderdale to the southeast , Tamarac to the south, and The Everglades to the west.
